Gonzaga is a vibrant typeface that updates the classic Clarendon slab serif. Gonzaga is emotional. Not a rebel, but definitely not a conformist. An 18 members modern family with steady skeleton and strong voice.

While not directly inspired by Luiz Gonzaga himself, we chose the name “Gonzaga” to evoke a vibrant and sonorous feel.

Gonzaga’s design features clean, contemporary lines, departing from traditional rounded terminals for a more streamlined appearance. Its lowercase letters, such as a, g, k, and z, are lively yet harmonious, bringing a playful rhythm to text.

Gonzaga’s letterforms have excellent appearance in small sizes, which makes it also a great multipurpose editorial and branding face. It’s equipped with distinctive true italics forms, worth having a separate life. Gonzaga is a powerful typographic tool that can handle various complex print and web identity projects, but also nice logotypes and headlines.

This diverse family spans 18 styles from Thin to Black, in both upright and italic forms. Big set of ligatures, regular, contextual and discretionary. Expert Cyrillic with all local forms, notably the Bulgarian.

Gonzaga is primarily a display typeface. It could be used successfully as a face also for small and medium paragraphs due to the excellent legibility of letterforms and careful spacing and kerning. Gonzaga is destined to be a powerful and expressive identity, headline and poster tool.

Food and beverage packaging field, music industry, especially in contemporary jazz, funk, rock and world fusion of styles. Broad field of editorial projects for both print and screen. Gonzaga is not just a typeface, but a dynamic tool ready to enrich your branding and creative projects with its distinct flair and robust personality.

One morning, when Gregor Samsa woke from troubled dreams, he found himself transformed in his bed into a horrible vermin. He lay on his armour-like back, and if he lifted his head a little he could see his brown belly, slightly domed and divided by arches into stiff sections. The bedding was hardly able to cover it and seemed ready to slide off any moment. His many legs, pitifully thin compared with the size of the rest of him, waved about helplessly as he looked. “What’s happened to me?” he thought. It wasn’t a dream. His room, a proper human room although a little too small, lay peacefully between its four familiar walls. A collection of textile samples lay spread out on the table - Samsa was a travelling salesman - and above it there hung a picture that he had recently cut out of an illustrated magazine and housed in a nice, gilded frame. It showed a lady fitted out with a fur hat and fur boa who sat upright, raising a heavy fur muff that covered the whole of her lower arm towards the viewer. Gregor then turned to look out the window at the dull weather. Drops of rain could be heard hitting the pane, which made him feel quite sad.
