Norwegian (also Nynorsk, and Bokmål) Fonts
Norwegian fonts offered by Fontfabric serve typesetting in Norwegian orthography and text.
Norwegian is a North Germanic language with two official written forms of Norwegian, Bokmål and Nynorsk. Bokmål based on the spoken language of the capital city, Oslo, is used more common. Nynorsk is based on the language spoken in rural areas and is designed to be a more “pure” form of Norwegian, incorporating elements from different dialects. Bokmål and Nynorsk differ in specific letters and their pronunciations. Bokmål uses the letter “æ” for the “e” sound, while Nynorsk uses the letter “e” for the same sound. Additionally, Bokmål uses the letter “ø” for the “ö” sound, while Nynorsk uses the letter “ö” for the same sound.
